Commercial Property Investment Surge: Key Sectors Driving Market Recovery
The commercial property market moved out of its subdued phase in the 2025-26 financial year, largely due to Reserve Bank of Australia’s rate cutting cycle that drove buyers back into the market.
According to Ray White Commercial’s Real Capital Analytics, retail investment reached $17.19 billion, accounting for almost one-fifth of all commercial property investment.
Office investment saw a moderate recovery to $16.44 billion over 2024-25 levels.
But the strongest performing sector was medical, aged care and childcare, which saw investment surge 72.5% over the year, lifting its share of total turnover to 8.2%.
