As a result, buyers have a lot more choice, with the total stock of properties listed for sale up by 4.9% when compared to last July – the largest year-on-year increase in over a decade.
And as conditions become a bit less competitive for buyers, the more negotiable asking prices become.
There are also a number of grants availiable from the Federal and State Governments to assist first home buyers in to the market.
